A Beautiful Road

My Journey

I grew up wanting to be around people, talking and listening with them, and helping in whatever way I could. As a young teenager I had a daily paper route, then worked as a Nursing Assistant in a nursing home through High School and College. These experiences led me to pursue a Bachelor of Science Degree in Special Education. Over the course of 36 years I taught students who had physical, mental, emotional and health challenges. It was my privilege to be their teacher. After retiring, I knew that I wanted to continue supporting others.

My husband, Rod, and I are parents to 4 adult children, and are also enjoying being grandparents. We are blessed by the camaraderie and friendships that are naturally found when living in a small town. I love to sing, and to chronicle our lives through photography and scrapbooking. I love to volunteer and am honored to help care for our aging moms. I appreciate the freedom of having my own schedule and doing something meaningful each day.

I was adopted as a 6 week old baby and grew up with minimal information about my health history. Because of that, there are many things about my health that are unknown.

When I was introduced to this wearable technology, I saw a way to address these unknowns of my health. I could be proactive! I felt empowered! In sharing this technology, I am able to empower others as well, and live my purpose of helping others. I try to live a physically and emotionally healthy life and choose every day to "Be Happy". I am blessed.

I am so happy that I was introduced to this technology. My stamina has slowly but continually increased since I started wearing this technology over a year ago. My hair is better. My skin is better. My nails are stronger. My cognition is better and I know this because right away I started reading fiction which I have never done in my entire life.

I finished two books last summer. And I keep reading. My eyesight has also improved. My nutritionist was supporting me with supplements for macular degeneration as I do have that in my family history. Last fall, she tested me and said, "Hey I’ve never taken anybody off of these supplements, but you don’t need them anymore." That’s exciting!
